PAR
is
the abbreviation from Parabolic

fixtures that use this parabolic aluminized reflector . The PAR lamp includes
all the most important parts of a light : the globe , the lens and reflector .
PAR's are popular because they put out a lot of light per watt, more than any
other incandescent fixture.
